The thing that is hard to see in a photo

is that there is no muscle! You can see hair, but you have to feel that the skin is basically sitting over thin fascia instead of solid muscle. You can probably feel the joint where the lateral process meets the rib. At least, that's how Jackpot's back was when he lost his topline. Pergolide helped him restore his topline about 90% and he could probably get back the last ten percent if he were exercised.
