I had the same experience with Porta Grazer

My horses could get the insert pan out faster than I could. Each morning I found the tub knocked over, hay scattered and the horses merrily whapping each other over the head with the pan
. I called Walt and he said I needed to secure the feeder to the fence, which I didn't want to do. I originally bought it as a stall feeder for one horse who still prefered to eat out of his Nibble Net when given a choice. That was about 4 years ago and I know that the company has made a lot of improvements to the design since then. People seem to like their Porta Grazers and I think they work well in certain situations. You need one for each horse if feeding in a group situation and they need to be secured to something solid, such as a wood fence post or very solid fence. I have made my own version of a Porta Grazer using a plastic 55 gal feed barrel and a repurposed Muck bucket. Worked great for what I needed it for and held a lot more hay.
