gotta disagree on one point

You must be basing your assessment of Tuckers for high withered horses on either an old Tucker or one particular style. Or maybe it was a narrow tree. Almost every horse my friends and I have used Tuckers on, are pretty regular withered, neither mutton nor particularly high, fit most all really well.
Other than that, I agree Crates are good saddles too, just not possible for someone with a real bad back to ride in for as long.
