My horse is about 24years old and this has never been an issue, I have had her for 15years. That is my biggest question. Her nose is already tipped to the horse. She wants to take chunk out of him. I understand her wanting to take a chunk out of the one horse.. the horse and rider come to close as far as i am concerned, and she agrees. I had already warned the girl to stay away. Her horse is a dominate horse. But the other horse I ride with there has never been any space problems ...that's why I am concerned she is transferring the behavior to another horse. I need advice on what I need to do to help both of us. The recommendation is as soon as I feel what is happening ... just leg yield no other actions???? Is that okay to yield to this other horse?? Confused. I know the behavior is coming before the snaking and gnashing of the teeth because her whole body starts to get hard... Do I need to be more forceful with the rider and tell her give us are bubble. I don't think the behavior is acceptable even if the horse is to close.. especially I am on her. I wouldn't care if she did this behavior in a herd to protect herself... Please help me understand what we need to do as a team
