Before you spend a ton of money on supplements, a little dry skin is normal most of the time, but very dry skin is usually indicative of more than just something lacking, it's usually something you might have to have a vet check out, such as hypothyroidism or some autoimmune condition. If the horse has a very round body with a waxy shine to the coat and eats either a lot of alfalfa or is pastured in a low area that gets a lot of weeds, suspect hypothyroidism.
If it's just a little dry skin from the annual spring shedding, I'm sure lots of folks will have good suggestions. I would probably just bathe with the Equine Elite Body wash and leave it at that.
