I would go again, but maybe only with folks who really know the trails & I can trust to not overface me/my horse. There were a few trails that I had no business being on (Tevis-type) without a way to turn around. However, overall we had a wonderful time and I would go back again with a horse good on trails.
On that trip, Blackie was in regular shoes all-around (his normal set for jumping / everyday). He didn't have any issues with stone bruising but I was careful to pick his feet out multiple times a day & get on the soft dirt trail whenever possible.
Remind me this weekend and I'll share my experience. Sounds like a fun adventure!
