I will offer, tho, that if it's for a riding horse, give the daily dosage ~30min prior to riding (ex: give when you get the barn, before tacking up). There is an added comfort bonus that can be in effect during the ride, along with the daily dosage being good for long-term comfort.
Unless there is new research to the contrary, Previcox is given daily (or as often as possible) continuously. It helps the most when it's constantly in the blood stream. Skipping a week would remove it which would put the horse back into discomfort. That would be pointless to the purpose of it being a long-term comfort measure.
Again, any of that should be determined by the vet.
