this late summer. We have sand here, but we do the psylium regime. She was in pasture up til the rain started in(it floods out there) and was stalled. Had done the week of treatment a weekago, and she just seemed off...well we took a sample of her manure and she had about a cup of sand! So back onto a more aggressive treatment. She is getting cleared...she hasn't been here long enough but came from a facility that used base rock/gravel everywhere. We feed slow feed bags, over rubber mats, clean stalls. Could this happen, sure...she never presented with diarrhea during this time, just blocked up. So don't discount sand as an issue...
