I had a pony I had bought at auction, nice poa, but on the wild side. We worked with her for a few months, and realized while she was sweet and willing, it would just take way too much to train her to be for a beginner. I sold her for what I paid for her, and told her new owner (who came out and rode her) that she was not for beginners, she promised she would be in training and for her daughter etc. and PROMISED me that if she ever wanted to sell her, I would be notified and have first rights to buy her back. Well, a month later, she had her up on Dreamhorse as a "great little trail pony for kids" at 10x what I sold her for. People like her (horse traders) don't care about the repercussions of their LIES to others, they only care about the bottom dollar, which is very sad not only for the unsuspecting buyers, but also for the ponies who will have a lifetime going from home to home to home.
