The farrier I finally liked when I was away at school actually had a policy that if he quicked your horse the shoeing was free. He did it once with my horse (he noticed the nail right away, I didn't notice it until he told me so it must have been minor) and I didn't have to pay for that shoeing. I for sure used him again and it didn't happen again.
