It happens. They did not do it on purpose. It is something that can happen. Replacing a perfectly good Farrier for driving a hot nail is silly. If you suspect a hot nail or lameness you should call the Farrier immediately. It is their job to come back out and fix the problem.
Sometimes horses can be sore after a shoeing. It doesn't always happen but it can happen. Doesn't mean the Farrier did anything wrong. Just something that can happen. That is why you call the Farrier and tell them exactly what the horse is doing. If it just a little sore it might be nothing. If it is three legged lame it could be a hot nail.
