    You will get lots of opinions, both pro and con, and lots of stories, good and bad.

    My basic philosophy about clicker training is that the horse does not have to feel OK inside himself in order to be good at it. Since I'm more interested in the horse feeling OK inside than about what he does on the outside, clicker training really doesn't have much purpose for me. I do believe it can be useful in teaching PEOPLE how to have better timing, but I haven't really seen any value in it for the horse, except from folks who can't figure out any other way. For those folks, it's better than something else, though maybe not better than "nothing."

    I reiterate that a horse can do extremely well in clicker training, but never feel good on the inside. I have not yet seen one that IS good at clicker work AND feels good inside.
