I know you to be an awesome caregiver to your horses, as has been evidenced so many times over the years by your contributions here. I would still believe that about you if you decided tomorrow was his last day, even if he's happy and perky and running around bucking and kicking. I don't believe a horse needs to suffer before being let go. I'm glad he's feeling good right now, and I would probably have a good hard think about it myself. I'm not saying you should let him go, either. All I'm saying is that if you feel your efforts don't seem to be working, then you would still be the wonderful caregiver that you are, no matter what you decide to do about it.
