I've read some sprouting sites that say they use recleaned, and I asked the feed store too, so I'm pretty confident in that. Rolled, crimped, pearled, flaked etc won't sprout.
The poundage seems to be 2.5# dry weight makes 17# (8 kg) sprouts (wet) according to the site I saw. Though that seems really high – other sites are saying a 10x20” tray makes 1-3 pounds of wheatgrass which you only eat the top of. I wonder why the difference? Is this grass grown longer, plus the bottoms are eaten?
As I said before my math converting weights and energies may be wrong!
