I don't know when they open, I would be inclined to go to golden gate park and hit the beach from there. I don't recall the beach access being easy from ft funston Another option might be to go to John daily & skyline, just up the road from ft funston, I would probably google earth it to check parking there is a dead end side street on the north west side of the intersection Olympic way (u access it north of John daily on skyline. For gg park I usually park in the lot across from bircut field (?sp)
