Bonny Doon Evacuation Update Wed 6:40pm Posted by equinebliss on 6/11/2008, 6:45 pm, in reply to "Evacuations Bonny Doon - I can take a few in Scotts Valley" 75.61.120.149 Redcross Update: County Fairgrounds and Graham Hill Showgrounds are taking in horses and other large animals being evacuated. Small animal evacuations are being taken to the family shelter in Felton. Private ranches are taking in animal evacuations as well. I left a message with Red Cross offering horse evac space, haven't heard back. I have my truck and trailer ready if needed. I'm sure Amy's in good hands, between Helen and other resources. I just talked to Eric Von Falconer (Von Falconer K-9) who is on Comstock off Pine Flat. He got the recorded message to evac but the fire captain said he's probably okay for now, so he's ready but not leaving yet. Polly's horses are gone but she still has truck and trailer if we need it. Room for 1 horse, or a few sheep, some chickens. I’m in Lafayette, Henson’s Equestrian Center (name change coming soon) and I can house probably up to 10 horses (stalls and paddocks) , plus I have pasture too. We have about 4 stall/paddocks available but can also accomodate more horses if needed for a couple of days. (turn-out pens, jump field, etc.) We do have a trailer to help with evacuation.
