Advice Needed on Place to Hold a Fundraising Horse Show for Therapeutic Riding Program Posted by Penomee on 6/30/2009, 7:14 pm 76.220.8.57 I have never produced a horse show, though I have produced small theatrical events. Any advice or thoughts are welcome. Our program is in Hayward, and a Livermore or Pleasanton or Castro Valley location would be ideal. We are hoping for a facility with an enthusiastic group of people who want to help disabled riders, and would enjoy being at the gate, being the crew for jumps etc., announcing, even judging. There are also monthly gymkhana's held, so putting flyers up would help get the word out. And - I believe the city will give a discount on the rental if it's for a non-profit. At least they were a couple of years ago when we were looking into doing something like that.... When you get a date and have it set up please post - I'd be willing to help.
