The other thing to insure is that the diet is balanced and that you are not feeding her things that are pro-inflammatory like too many omega-6 fatty acids from the likes of corn oil. The Platinum works in part because it contains a lot of flax which provides omega-3 fatty acids which are anti-inflammatory. However it may not provide enough of the trace minerals depending on what the overall diet is providing and so other products may be better suited depending on your specific situation. There are also non NSAID products to help mediate pain. If you would like to discuss options for her in more details drop me an email. My grandsons 20 year old dun has arthritis, he was stiff when we brought him home last month, I put him on 2 oz a day of this and he is real fluid in his movement now. I bought it at the local feed store for $34, so lots cheaper than other brands, but has the same ingredients.  Post a Response

My vet said to get the one with the most Glucosamine, Hyaluronic Acid and Chondroitin. I talked to the rep at SmartPak too.
