[Edited by admin to remove names in order to comply with board rules. Please read it in its entirety at http://www.tbfriends.com/]. Tuesday, October 20th... Reliable word comes of a giant feed lot near Santa Rosa. The place has been in operation since August. More than 50 horses can be held at the same time. All breeds. Horses from this feed lot are shipped to slaughter in Mexico. No one, not even rescue organizations, can purchase any of these horses. In our town of Woodland, on the border of Davis, a small ranch which holds mexican rodeo horses. The last stop until transportation to slaughter. Once again, no one allowed to buy. In the fancy town of Napa, a not so fancy farm. Also holding horses until shipment to slaughter. Absolutley no visitors. A rooster fighting joint near Lodi has doomed mexican rodeo horses. Horse killers _______ and _______ do business out of Pittsburgh. Horse killers ______ and _______ operate in Wilton. A guy named ______ (sounds like a daytime soap) is now working a rooster fighting, horse holding farm in Vallejo. Dozens of e-mails asking for more information. So here we go: The Wilton feed lot has scales, and horses are weighed before rescue. Prices depend on what slaughter plants are currently paying. We pay by the pound for a horse in Wilton. Pittsburgh and Vallejo there are no scales. Weight is guessed. Of course my guess is much lower than theirs. But it is their guess which matters. A big stock trailer filled with 15 horses can earn a horse killer between two and three thousand dollars. Back and forth they go, usually two trips a week. Horse killers get their horses from livestock auctions. Also ads on the internet. Perception is a bunch of old bags of bones. But nope, the majority of doomed horses are young and useful. There was a big feed lot in Dixon, but animal rights protesters drove them to another town. Due to the unwanted attention brought by animal rights groups, rescue organizations can no longer purchase their horses. Except for Tbfriends. We are seeing more and more horse killers who are female. Including _______, once married to _______. ________ cons non suspecting folks out of their horses. Mostly from answering ads on the internet. __________ shows up with her young daughter ________. The two act so happy to get your horse. But in the next week or so your horse is slaughtered. Lots of school students, ages 12 to college, asking Tbfriends for an interview. Doing essay papers on race horses, slaughter bound horses, starving horses, mexican rodeo horses, or successful adoptions. There is one question every student asks: How can I stand to be around horse killers? It makes me incredibly angry to deal with those who exploit horses for cash. There are horse killers who cannot speak English, which is doubly frustrating. Not even legal in America, and they come here to kill our horses. It is getting worse and worse and worse. We are seeing violence at livestock auctions. Horse killers fighting over the same poor horse. You begin to wonder, exactly how many horses are there in Northern California? Gotta be millions.
