Equine Dentist Recommendations like Jerry Schmidt? in South County

Turns out my mare has TMJ, and my first step is to have a good equine dentist look at/work on her. I wanted Jerry Schmidt to come out but he wont' be here till Fall/Late Fall

I'm in Gilroy.

Does anyone know of other LIKE-MINDED Equine Dentists? No power tools please, and ideally someone that knows something about Cranio-Sacral stuff.

Is there anyone else that can be recommended?

as long as they are run by an educated sort (and cause the teeth to rock less). Work can be much more detailed.

I recommend Ben Koertje.

Ben took care of my horses many times and did a great job.

However, I'm not sure if he's the right guy for TMJ issues.....

Someone on this board mentioned Spencer La Flure who apparently is going to the South Bay.
Looking at his web site his work seems similar to Jerry's.

Disclaimer: I never used him, don't know him, just remember him being mentioned....

I wouldn't hesitate to use anyone who comes out of that school.

My mare had TMJ, Jerry has worked on her several times along with Deb and she has improved drastically.

Hope it works out. I believe Phil is one of their instructors and the horses just LOVE him, he has a nice quiet way about him and is a wealth of information.

I think Phil Ratliff was working on some horses in CA, maybe. He is out of AZ but travels quite a bit. I think his website is rite bite equine dentistry. Look up "natural balance equine dentistry" and you should find more practitioners
