Who has an Equi Spirit Horse ball, and how do you like it?

I am getting ready to order ours that we saw at Expo, but decided to wait until the end of the month to get some feedback on them before I buy them.

I got one of those little exercise balls from walmart in the meantime to see how they liked playing with a ball, and so far 3 just LOVE it, so really excited to get the 40" ones.

If you have one, how well is it holding up? Do you have the nylon or the courdura outter fabric? Do your horses play with it each time, or do they get bored with them. I decided to get the nylon as one gelding and Skip LOVE to pick things up and toss them and they said at Expo that it's harder for the horse to pick up and toss the courdura one and much easier for them with the nylon. I can't wait!!

It's VERY sturdy and well made. One of my horses likes it, the other is horrified and won't go near it, and the 3rd would rather stay away from it. The horse who likes it uses it to scare the other two.

Which one is that?

Little Hitler? There should be a cartoon about the three of yours...it would be hilarious! We might have to change some of the names though...hahaha, to protect the innocent, of course!

Actually, it's dork boy Robo Cop. He thinks it's great fun to roll it towards the other horses and see them run away. A new spin on "the one who moves the other's feet is the winner" game

Do you have the nylon or cordoura?

I'm thinking of going with the nylon as they can pick up and toss them easier, and it will be played with in the arena only.

I think it's cordura. They can grip it just fine as long as you don't inflate the ball inside too much. It's all in the instructions.

Since your horses already show active interest in the ball you bought at Walmart you will probably be one of the lucky ones who gets to watch your horses play with the Equi-Ball. Of the approximately 20 horses I have watched with it only one will actively play with it on his own. Which really bummed me out as the videos on YouTube are so fun to watch. My horse will nudge it around & kick it, but only on cue when asked because she was clicker trained. Please post videos!

My other horses are afraid of it, but he thinks it's the greatest thing.

When he got it a few years ago as a 2 year old

Still playing with it a few months ago. (may want to turn sound off with dog next door barking etc)

I can't wait! I ordered the red and black and the yellow/black ones. I can't wait, I figure Sara and Lady will be scared to death of them, but I know the fjord, Skip and Shilo will have a blast like Aiden does! Thanks so much for sharing!!
