horse is super punky--help

Ok he has lost over 100 lbs not eating, he is usually the pig in the herd.I am not certain if he has ulcers or some pain. walking away at feeding time. I have only seen this with ulcers. I remember my vet telling me to administer cimetidine for 3 days to just see if that helps to verify if it is ulcers but I forgot the amount. I know it cant hurt him and it would be one way to rule that out. Also are there any bugs going around???

check temp, check cap refill time and skin pinch to see if horse is dehydrated, call vet with that info and symptoms.

This video shows how to palpate to confirm if a horse has ulcers. I dont know how reliable it is, but sure cant hurt.

Massive weight loss, inappetance, total change in attitude, all warrant a call to the vet, always.
