Does anyone have experience boarding at Bollinger Ranch? I am looking for a smaller barn facility with a covered arena and decent turn-out for my 10 year old mare, within 30 minutes of Orinda. We have been in both small and large boarding/dressage barns in the East Bay and she is much happier in a quieter environment. Unfortunately the private barn we're at now doesn't have a stall available for the winter. Lessons less of a priority than the right set-up. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!

If I remember the place correctly, their arena is dirt over a concrete pad. I once saw a horse slip and go down during a clinic there.

Las Trampas Stables has great turnouts and direct access to the regional park. We are just a lil further past Bollinger Canyon. Stop by and check us out!

Dumpy. The footing was fine in the covered arena, but that area gets socked in with fog in the winter. Lots of better places. Keep looking.
