If you have not ridden in awhile, find a local trainer and take a few lessons. Most people are kinda leary of letting someone ride their horse in case that person gets injured. With a trainer you know they have liability insurance and have horses that can be trusted with beginners or people like you, getting back into horses after a few years absence.

And a good trainer should be able to help find you a good "match" of maybe a horse to do a partial lease on or hook you up with someone that could use a little more attention for a horse that is suited to the appropriate level for you. I was a rerider after taking a few years off to have some kiddos, I needed a good confident horse to build my balance back up and not shake my inner being, lol. A good trainer should be able to help at least point you in the right direction.

Thank you both for your response. Great suggestions. Been running around taking kids to do their fun things and thought it was about time I did what I like to do. I will look into local trainers. Thanks again I feel inspired again. Aloha
