Triple Crown - Total Lifetime Care

Has anyone tried Triple Crowns new product TLC? I've been happy with their senior but I'm always open to new things. The TLC seems pretty comparable to their Senior feed except it's pelleted verses extruded.

But he did well on it, he just makes a mess of pelleted feed. I swear by Triple Crown, so really can't go wrong with any of their feeds.

From the sample I saw at the feed store it doesn't look quite like their normal pellets. It wasn't as boring looking as their TC Lite. Erin is the same way and got bored of the Lite.

diet food, yucky!! The senior and complete dont loo anything like the Lite and Low Starch.

about projecting our human interpretations on horse feed. I know you were just saying that compared to the other feeds it doesn't look as appetizing and I agree 110%. I just see a lot of horses who end up in trouble because their owners "can't" or perhaps that should be "won't" feed them the appropriate feed for them because it looks like diet food etc.

I've moved to fulfilling my need to feed by feeding snacks of grass hay. One 50# bag of grain lasts my mare between 95 and 100 days. I pre-baggie them all to keep the grain more fresh. This is a huge change from her mom who used to go though a bag in two weeks. I really probably don't even need to feed it but a half pound never hurt.

If her weight is good 1/2 a pound is nothing to worry about except that it won;t provide all the minerals she needs and you will need to add a supplement.

I can not stress this enough. Just like kids, they will eat what you feed them if you don't cave in to emotions. Go out and look at the horse's natural diet and you won't see anything that resembles a bagged feed

Doesn't work for truly picky kids...

Mine will just refuse to eat if nothing is to his liking. Of course it doesn't mean he gets cookies and ice cream instead of the nice roasted chicken I made! But he might get an almond butter toast with some raw bell pepper slices, or some of his other approved favorites. Oh yeah, and my dog a while back refused to eat some chicken I bought for him. Day after day, he wouldn't touch it. But he ate some new chicken I bought. I'm certain there's something wrong with that chicken and it would've made him sick. Sometimes having picky eaters is a good thing!
