Posted by James I bought this from an acquaintence. He used this truck as his weekend "Mudder Toy" and ran it hard (his words exactly). It was making a Terrible Noise when I drove it home. I replaced the Tcase and the drivers front hub since both were making grinding noise. Anyway, after putting it back together and driving it around the back roads for awhile, I decided that my cherokee ran better than the Jimmy so I decided to sell the Jimmy. What can I say? I'm a jeep guy at heart.... I'm not looking to get rich off this truck. I have a TOTAL of $800 invested in this vehicle ($600 for the truck, $150 for the tcase, and $50 for the hub and hubgear) and would like to get that out of it either in cash, trade, or a mixture of both. I'm NOT interested in parting it out. It has an Oklahoma Title with a lien on the title but I have the lien release attached to the title - I've not transferred the title over to my name yet. I don't plan on doing that unless its absolutely necessary - you'll be able to take the title & release and transfer it yourself. I'll get pics up in a couple days but for now, I thought I'd list it and see if there was an interest in this vehicle. If you have something interesting to trade, shoot me an email and lets see. I'd rather NOT have another project unless its an M715 or FC-150/FC-170, or maybe a Commando (remember? Ima Jeep guy!). I'm also in the "market" for a 4wheeler or a tandem axle trailer. Guns are of interest to me as well. I could use a really good winch as well. James

1977 Jimmy Full Size, 135K miles, currently in Lawton, OK (SW Oklahoma) - spring over axle, RUNNING 350motor (but needs tuneup), Edlebrock intake& carb 600cfm(?) (may need rebuild),AC (not hooked up & condition unknown), PS, PB, th350, np203, 31x10.5x15s bridgstone - 95% tread, 6lug wagonwheels, 10bolt axles front & back - gearing unknown, Cracked windshield - all other glass OK, seats need recovered, rest of interior in fair to good shape. Superwinch S4500 on front (no cable but does have fairlead) but no remote so I don't know if it works. It is missing the lever that engages the spool as well. Superwinch offered to sell me the needed parts (cable, hook, and lever for $120ish). As far as rust goes, there is a quarter size rust-thru hole on the passengers rocker. I didn't see other rust thru on the body, However, since the rockers look pretty good now, I can only assume BOTH sides had been repaired at one time or another.
Lawton, OK
