Hi. I have a 93 RR SWB and yes you can install an aftermarket stereo system, I put in a Blaupunkt AM/FM CD player, I also installed a Blaupunkt amp, I did change out the factory speakers for some Rockford Fosgate and I kept the factory subwoofer and tweeters, but say the least I'm not happy with the speakers so I'm going all the way Blaupunkt, I bought all my items at www.onlinecarstereo.com and I saved a bunch of money. The amp will go nicely under your rear seats you'll have to cut the insulation so the unit sits flush on the floor board, if your handy with tools and like neat work it will take a full day to do it right, If you have any question please feel free to e-mail me, always willing to help a fellow rover owner.
