Interestingly, you are both out by an order of magnitude! 
(%i3) (999999-18)*2/3 + 17;
(%o3) 666671
So the answer should be 666,671, whereas you both wrote 66,671. In one case, a typo, and in the other, copy-and-paste without checking, no doubt!
