that would be simpler than my suggestion and I can visualize it far easier. Im still wandering whether the 'sphere' example could be infinite though..
At least I now know of an alternative example that would work (as a thought experiment)though, thanks.
The main problem with my 'spherical' example, I suppose, would be knowing which direction to have each rod 'shooting out' in?
