Re: per 1935 buddy stove
I've had one of the "Buddy" stoves for nearly 30 years. Mine has the machine gunner on the door. The tin was rusted through when I got it for $25 from a yard sale. I replaced the tin with a section cut from black stove pipe. It is missing the lid lifter but otherwise is complete and I actually use it. I had thought of reproducing them and was trying to find if anyone still had any copyright interest in the product. I just came across this message board after years of occasional searching for information. I had called the Benton Harbor Chamber of Commerce some 3 years ago and was told the Fair Avenue Tin Shop had been closed for decades. The building was being used for a theater.
