David, naturally, was devastated at the loss of his son, as was Elizabeth - and their discussion of the incident is presented in Twitch Upon A Star.
When I met David in 1989 he was the shell of the man he once was. Living alone in a modest but tasteful home in the San Fernando Valley,
he was quite sad...and yet, once Elizabeth contacted him and gave the "okay" that he should grant me an interview, he opened up to me, shared many beautiful memories of Bewitched and beyond, and I think smiled a little bit more that day than he would have (God bless him).
