Davy Jones and his felow Monkees were a huge part of my childhood. My first album was "Here Come the Monkees". And, of course, there's a BW connection: many Monkees hits were written by our Cotillion friends, Boyce and Hart. Is it just me, or was Davy Jones 'way too young to die?
"Witches are good! Witches are dear!"
I too was saddened by this. For those of us in our late 40's/early 50's, the Monkees were our version of the Beatles. I watched them every Saturday morning and still love to hear them being played on the radio. Another piece of our childhood is gone forever.
