I've been re-reading the article here on the art in Our House. Fabulous job, Anonymous Art Critic! I've noticed a couple of things:
The now-credited artist of Girl With A Broom, Fabritius, is also the painter of The Goldfinch, which is the center of the same-titled novel by Donna Tartt. (Read that last month, and it is excellent!)
I have a question about Tab's room. Next to Bambi, there is a very curious painting--curious for a baby's room. I can't identify it, but it's a woman in red seated at a table with a man. It looks Flemish, 15th century, but it's so blurry I couldn't make out for sure. It reminded me of this one by Quentin Metsys, in the Louvre. Any ideas?
