Hi guys,
Such an extraordinary thing happened to me, that I really thought it worthwhile to chat about it on the forum. First, I'll intro myself. I'm Ari, 21, a Uni student in SA, and am doing the dishonest job of politics. I listened to BK show, but didn't think the site was really active, because the last show I saw was 2005 or something. Anyway, I love the cool chat, will post often if can, but, coming back to the weird thing that happened.
First, let me describe the position at the UNI where I am. Believe it or not, there is no mobility, quite bad, whenwe chat about uni I'll get back to that.
Anyway, the qweird thing that happened.
I was interviewed by the newspaper of the UNI who were doing an article on disability, OK, forget the modesty, the article was actually, to my surprise, all about yours truly.
Little did I know that the journalists who interviewed me would add therir own perceptions? Do you guys know why I was sort of tapping the desk while I was being interviewed, get ready for the laugh, I was "seeking assurance in his world of darkness!" Even worse guys, its only when they saw me laugh at myself that they felt comfortable laughing with me! OK, I know, we have to be patient and understand the nervousness of the sighted population. To be honest though, I'd like more of your views on this irrational statement, but I've actually found journalist students to be the most helpful, and law students, well, lets just not go there. But now guys, what really worries me, is, now that I know journo's licence, the question is, can I now believe nothing in the papers? Let's search for some sort of truth!
