Meg lays down a set of music like a band playing a gig. Later that same day, Meg played this selection of songs that, although from different eras, were all similar in that the backing bands sound like they recorded the tracks live as a band. So, Meg. Backing to backing us with the Isley Brothers is extremely high on the cool meter. Thank you, Meg. In fact my thanks go out to all the DJ's who have backed to backed the Beatniks with some of the very coolest of music. I mean, Jonesey backed to backed us with Bob Marley. It is such a great feeling that our band gets to warm up for these greats in musical culture and feel good that we gave them a warm stage to go out on.
Anyroad, here is the afternoon set Meg played.
Lightnin' Hopkins I Like To Boogie
The Isley Brothers This Old Heart Of Mine (Is Weak For You)
Bossa Nova Beatniks The American Dream
Esthero Revolution
Otis Redding These Arms Of Mine
