In the "Innocence...A Broad" episode of Magnum, P.I., shown on WGN last Friday, there are great shots of a Safeway in Hawaii in the 1980's. The exterior is shown very clearly; it is a unique gabled looking affair. There are also scenes shot inside with the characters wheeling around a vintage metal shopping cart with the stylized Safeway "S" affixed to the front. A shot of the refrigerated dairy cases shows the stylized "S" on a glass divider panel. These were longer than average shots for a tv show. I wish I had them on tape.
