JOEY FRANCO'S PW MARKET/CASTRO VALLEY, CA

Came across a market in Castro Valley, CA--part of Joey Franco's PW Markets chain. Interior of this store is vintage late 1960s retro and has not been updated much at all, and it's well worth a look for fans of supermarket architecture. Curious mix of downscale (Western Family) and upscale (Lucca Delicatessen) fare as well. My groceries were packed in used plastic Safeway bags, which seems to indicate that Joey Franco operates on a mega-tight budget. I think this store might have been an Andronico's but it perhaps pre-dates even that. Anyone know what it might once have been?
