Safeway intends to put their "We're totally ripping off Whole Foods Market" decor in all their stores. I have been to one location...Windsor, CO...that had Safeway's most recent decor (2002-2004?) until this summer, when the new gold trim and dim lighting went in. It was a much nicer store before. That store can't be more than a couple years old. You know who Safeway should have been ripping off for decor? The Great Indoors. THEIR interior screams seventies Safeways when they were using different colors for each area of the store with the white lower case department lettering...but The Great Indoors has done a wonderful job of taking that look upscale. --Previous Message--
