Dueling Krogers

There is an interesting phenomenon in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. On Peachtree Road there are two Kroger stores operating virtually across the road from each other. What makes this interesting is that neither store was originally a Kroger. One was originally and A&P Food Market and one was a Harris Teeter. Both chains exited the ATL market several years ago-both stores still retain their original exteriors and interiors-the only difference is the Kroger logo replacing the old signage. Have you seen a similar occurance in your area with your local chains?
