Safeway at 28th & Hawthorne Might Have Had Yellow Letters

Hi Gang, I think it's rumored the Safeway at 2800 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, OR might originally have had the yellow S-A-F-E-W-A-Y bubble letters (with the medallion bug preceding them) when the location first opened in the early '60s. Correct?
