Does anyone have a source I might try to verify a family story. In the last half of the 1880s, Melville Clifford Betts was a Yard Master for the Lorain Ohio B & O RR. His friend, John Grimm, was crushed between two cars in the yard. John was dying in Melville's arms and his last words were, "take care of Helen and the babies." This was Helen Laura Peppers Grimm and children Oscar and Florance. Melville married Helen and they later had Hurbert, Ethel (1890) and Edith.
