thanks for maintaining this great family website-
my father (Joseph E. Burroughs) and I just visited the
Burroughs Family Cemetary --we were confirming some dates and ages - Elzy (my 4th great-grandfather) and his son John, John's son
Maj. Edgar Burroughs, (his grave is decked out because he was a confederate hero) Edgar's son
E.E. Burroughs (my great grandfather)-- are all buried there, plus some wives and other children-
Just this weekend the Burroughs Family was honored during a ceremony at the Confederate
Soldier's monument at the Princess Anne Courthouse - it was the 100th anniversary of
the unveiling of this monument - there is a
CSA camp named after Major Edgar Burroughs
and my dad is the only living great-grandson
of any of the honorary camps --

out covering the event
