I noticed that the children of JOHN LEWIS BURROUGHS and SARAH C. HUDGINS are listed as ADA and CLARA. There is no mention of JOHN CLAUDE BURROUGHS b. 1881 d. 1942. He married CLARA GARRIS b. 1888 d. 1968 in 1903. He was my grandfather and the patriarch of the BURROUGHS family in Newport News. While I cannot varify the fact, I believe he was the son of JOHN L AND SARAH C HUDGINS.
