The last thing we want is to lose this club. You have all put in too much time and effort over the years to let it slip away.
What about simple ideas like-
1)Have an open training session inviting people of all ages and ability to attend- It would only have to be advertised locally in the shops. A lot of lads fancy the idea of getting fit, but cannot afford the gym. If you put on your advert about getting fit for summer, there may be some takers. You never know you may just uncover a few.
2) Speaking to the landords of pubs and try to arrange a local sevens touch tournament. With each pub entering a team. There may be lads out there who have not played since school, but really get into it.
3)How about trying to get a state of origin type game arranged Irlam v Cadishead (Young and Old Players) to be played at the summer show- try and raise the profile of the game in the community. If your honest, how many people in the area have heard of Cadishead Rhinos apart form those involved?
