Posted by Paul E on May 2, 2007, 3:25 pm, in reply to "Re: players" I've kept relatively quiet about the whole Hornets/Rhinos thing as I have preferred to try and keep my head down and concentrate on rebuilding and developing our club. At the end of the day we are a club with members and a committee and any decisions should be a group one for the good of the club. The whole topic of merging etc has obviously created a lot of interest locally within the two clubs. If people are serious about considering it, the sensible thing would be for both clubs to meet seperately and have a members vote as to whether they are in favour or not. If the majority of members from both clubs are in favour then both committees can meet up and discuss the specifics in more detail. If the majority of members from either club would prefer to go it alone then we just knock the idea on the head and continue as two seperate clubs. The only thing I would say irrespective of whether this happens or not all the name calling, we're better than you etc.. just isn't productive. We are a small community and should still agree to work closley and help each other out. PS. If people do come on the website and slag other off lets at least be man enough to put our names to it
