
Posted by Traci One thing that would be helpful is for more people to begin to recognize that it is an ordained and needed part of the ministry of the church. Then, people could begin to seek God for excellence, temperance, wisdom and maturity in it - Just like in music, preaching or any other ministry. When it becomes apparent that there are mature, prophetic people in an assembly, then it seems scriptural that the church assembly would be able to lean on them for direction. It would make the ministry even more credible if you could keep them (the prophetic people) out of the every day admin of the church so that they don't really know what they are praying about before they receive "words." But this may be difficult. Just some thoughts. I wish our church would do this. Traci

I wish more churches would lean on the prophetic ministry before they made major decisions - but finding credible and resposible prophetic people is a challenge.
