Practicing or Recieving Gifts?????????????????

I am confused as to what you are talking about when you say practicing the gifts? Are you saying a person has the gift and needs to perfect it or are you saying a person can recieve a gift by practicing it. This subject is very interesting to me. I would like to here more on this subject....stir up a good conversation about the gifts of the spirit and how folks can recieve those gifts and move in them and such. Maybe we need another thread.
