But we wouldn't all necessarily have the anointing to do it in a public manner. I think there are those that have done it only once and it was from God, to be interpreted publicly. And yet there are those that have the anointing to do it very frequently. But, interestingly enough, Paul doesn't ask "do we all prophesy?" He asks "are we all prophets?" Here it makes me think of the verse, "If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God," 1 Pet 4:11 As I have said earlier, I think these things fall on a continuum, like the supernatural displays of many other things through men. I think we can all prophesy - some is to be public, some is to be person to person. But just as with anything - we need to use love and wisdom any time we speak to people. Just because information is from God, doesn't mean we take our hearts out of our chest before we talk - which is what (unfortunately) many have done. Trace
