CCBTC was the fartherest along of most churches concerning spiritual gifts and body ministries. The church held the position that tongues was the one and only sign of the BHS. EVERYONE* who became a part of CCBTC got spirit filled and spoke in tongues as a result. They had a doctrine and it prove out. Why should anyone want to rehash something that worked and worked well, when admittedly things are not even as good now as they were at CCBTC.(not to say CC was the end all. *EVERYONE that was semi normal
