Of what significance is the Baptism in HS?`

This sounds like a most ridiculous question, however. . . Every single gift of the HOly spirit was manifest through men before the spirit was given (John 4:39) The disciples cast out demons and healed, prophets prophesied and did miracles, you name it. So, why did we need the Holy Spirit in order to be witnesses? Other than a prayer language, what is the benefit? If tongues is the sign, what is it actually a sign of? Is it a sign of something different than what they already had? Traci
